Pfc. Anthony Windhorst has been honored with the "Lifesaving Award" for April 2024 by the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD). On March 31, Pfc. Windhorst responded to a distress call at Northwoods Mall, where he found a woman unresponsive in her vehicle.

Windhorst administered Narcan and performed sternum rubs until Charleston County EMS arrived and transported the woman to the hospital. His quick thinking and decisive actions were instrumental in saving her life.

The discovery of drug paraphernalia at the scene highlighted the severity of the situation and underscored the importance of his intervention. The NCPD congratulates Pfc. Anthony Windhorst for his exceptional performance and lifesaving efforts.
