The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce has welcomed Jason Colón as a Military Executive Fellow.

Colón served nearly 33 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in the summer of 2023. He began his career with the Special Operations Weather Team (SOWT) and later held senior leadership roles, including Command Chief for Joint Base Charleston. His connection to the region led him to settle in the greater Charleston area upon retirement.

Jason has been married for 32 years, is a father of two, and a grandfather of one. As he transitions to civilian life, Colón aims to strengthen ties between the military and veteran community and the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. He plans to leverage current and future opportunities.

In his role as Military Executive Fellow, Colón will collaborate with the Senior Director of Military Affairs to support veteran transition initiatives, establish the Military Advisory Council, work with defense industry partners, and support initiatives that improve the quality of life for active duty personnel, veterans, their spouses, and dependents.
