The City of North Charleston’s Cultural Arts Department has announced a group exhibition of mixed media works by HEART Inclusive Arts Community, to be displayed at Park Circle Gallery from July 31 to August 31, 2024. The artists will host a free public reception at the gallery on Friday, August 2, from 5:00-7:00 pm. Admission is free.
In their group exhibition titled "To the Great Unknown," members of HEART Inclusive Arts Community present a collection of tactile and interactive mixed media works that explore various aspects of the unknown in life. The exhibition aims to delve into themes such as wonder, mystery, excitement, and fear. According to the artists, "There is much to be learned from what we do not know. Respect, empathy, humility." The featured works demonstrate how unknowns vary from person to person and how individuals experience them. Each piece encourages viewers to take a moment to reflect and “cheers” to the Great Unknown.
