On August 29, 2024, several officers were honored for their efforts in capturing a break-in suspect. Officers Brooklynd Cole, Joseph Magrane, Jared Martin, Ryan O’Quinn, and Michal Motto received a 'Certificate of Recognition' for July 2024.

On August 1, CompStat officers responded to an apartment complex on Jenny Lind where a suspect was attempting to steal a vehicle. Information provided by Team 2 officers about a suspect tampering with vehicles in the Otranto area led them to the scene.

Officers identified a juvenile matching the suspect’s description running from the area and apprehended him after a foot chase. During questioning, the suspect confessed to damaging a vehicle and attempting to steal it.

The experience and teamwork of these officers played a significant role in preventing further property crimes in the area.
