Representative Nancy Mace issued a statement on September 12, 2024, regarding the latest report from the Labor Department, which indicates a 3.2% rise in core inflation compared to the previous year.

"The latest Labor Department report shows a 3.2% rise in core inflation from last year. Let’s be clear: inflation is hitting Americans hard. The far-left media is doing everything it can to cover up the facts by saying this is a ‘three-year low,’ but the truth is simple—prices remain higher than ever, and this administration’s policies are the reason why. Gas prices, groceries, rent—none of it is back to normal."

Mace emphasized that despite claims of improvement, essential costs for consumers have not returned to pre-inflation levels.
