Rep. Nancy Mace has expressed concerns regarding the influence of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on the United States, following a report from the Oversight Committee. She stated that the CCP has engaged in "a sustained campaign of infiltration, influence, and economic warfare against the United States." According to Rep. Mace, agencies such as the Department of Education and Treasury have not adequately addressed this influence, allowing it to expand.

In her role as Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation, Rep. Mace emphasized efforts to highlight significant threats like Volt Typhoon and other covert tactics intended to undermine U.S. stability from within. She called for a cohesive government strategy that recognizes these acts as warfare and provides federal agencies with necessary resources and expertise to effectively counteract them.
