U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, representing South Carolina and serving as Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, issued a statement following the House of Representatives' adoption of the House Budget Resolution (H. Con. Res 14).

Graham expressed his appreciation for the House's efforts in initiating the process to pass a reconciliation bill. He emphasized his intent to collaborate with the House to enhance tax cut provisions by making them permanent, aligning with President Trump's priorities.

The senator also highlighted the importance of ensuring that the Department of Homeland Security receives $175 billion in funding necessary for border security. "Time is of the essence when it comes to border security," he stated, warning that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would run out of funds within weeks if action is delayed. Graham noted that delaying President Trump's border security agenda poses not only political risks but also dangers.
