The Honors 2025 event recently took place at the Dock Street Theatre, highlighting individuals and businesses that have significantly impacted the region. The ceremony commenced with a VIP reception where award recipients were welcomed by Joseph DeLeon, President and CEO of Roper St. Francis Healthcare.

Attendees enjoyed performances from the AcaBelles, College of Charleston’s all-female a cappella group, who performed songs by Billie Eilish and Lorde. Later, Cameron & the Saltwater Brass entertained the audience with a lively brass band performance.

A major highlight was the presentation of The Honors awards, featuring acceptance videos that showcased the honorees' contributions to regional growth and success. The ceremony concluded with John C. L. Darby receiving the Joseph P. Riley Leadership Award. Elliot Summey, Executive Director & CEO of the Charleston County Aviation Authority, along with Keith Summey, former mayor of North Charleston, introduced Darby by acknowledging his leadership and influence in Charleston.

Following the formalities, guests gathered in the theater's courtyard for a reception catered by Rosemary & Rye. This provided networking opportunities amid an atmosphere enhanced by hors d’oeuvres and drinks.

The Honors event is recognized as one of the Chamber’s signature occasions that celebrate member contributions driving community growth and success.
