The Citadel baseball team is set to host Marshall University and Army at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, South Carolina. The Bulldogs, who currently hold a 1-2 record, will face the Marshall Thundering Herd (2-1) on February 20 and 21, followed by the Army Black Knights (0-3) on February 22.
Game times are scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday, 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday. All games will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
Friday’s matchup features left-handed pitcher Will Holmes for The Citadel against Marshall’s Bryce Blevins. On Saturday, right-handed pitcher Bryce Coulter will start for the Bulldogs against Drew Harlow of Marshall. Starters for Sunday’s game between The Citadel and Army have not yet been announced.
Weather forecasts indicate mild temperatures with highs in the mid-70s on Friday but rain expected throughout Saturday. Sunday may see partly cloudy skies with a chance of rain and stronger winds from the northwest.

The Citadel leads its all-time series against Marshall with a record of 29 wins to 13 losses; their last meeting was in 2010 when The Citadel won 4-1. Marshall enters this weekend after winning two out of three games to start their season, led offensively by Tyler Kamerer (.455 batting average), Jackson Halter, and Cooper Hinson—each with two home runs—and Hinson leading in RBIs with eight.
Marshall’s pitching staff has recorded an earned run average (ERA) of 6.49 over their first three games.
Against Army, The Citadel holds a single win from their only previous meeting in 1998 when they defeated the Black Knights 10-1. Army started its season with three losses to Clemson and is scheduled to play South Carolina and Air Force before facing The Citadel. Carter Hewitt leads Army with a .400 batting average while Jack Quinlan has hit one home run so far this season; their pitching staff has an ERA of 7.83 across three games.
Several new players contributed during The Citadel’s opening weekend versus Liberty: Michael Gibson pitched four innings for a win while striking out seven batters; Bryce Coulter threw five innings in another victory; freshman Miles Barbrey led the team with a .429 batting average; Zach Hunt recorded the team’s first triple and drove in one run.
After this homestand, The Citadel will begin an away series at Florida State from February 27 through March 1 in Tallahassee.
