On Saturday, Dec. 6, former The Citadel standout Jamar Blandin’s current collegiate team the Newberry Wolves won 31-24 against the Albany State Golden Rams in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
The game took place at ASU Coliseum at 1 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Albany State Golden Rams in the tournament.
The Newberry Wolves’ next game will take place on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 12 p.m. at Top Taggart Field.
This ex-Charleston County area high school standout will participate in competitions on Tuesday, April 28.

The Citadel lost its series finale against UNCG by a score of 9-4 on April 26 at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park despite winning two games earlier in the weekend series.The team will look to regroup before facing South Carolina next.
