The Citadel Bulldogs will face the Presbyterian Blue Hose in a three-game baseball series from May 1 to May 3, according to an April 30 announcement. The first game will take place in Clinton, South Carolina, with subsequent games scheduled at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston and back in Clinton.
This series is important as both teams seek to improve their conference records late in the season. The Citadel enters the weekend with a record of 22-22 overall and a Southern Conference mark of 6-9, while Presbyterian holds a 10-35 overall record and is 6-12 in Big South play.
The probable starting pitchers for the Bulldogs are Will Holmes on Friday, Andrew Buffkin on Saturday, and Trip Brown on Sunday. Their opponents from Presbyterian are Tyrell Williams, Christian Charalambous, and Tristan McGregor respectively. Weather forecasts predict mild conditions for Friday and Sunday in Clinton but rain is expected during Saturday’s game in Charleston.
Tickets for home games can be purchased online at CitadelSports.com/tickets or by calling the box office at 843-953-DOGS. Tickets are also available one hour before each home game at the stadium box office. All three games will be broadcast on ESPN+, with Dave Weinstein and Travis Lott providing commentary for Saturday’s matchup. Brian Giffin will call Saturday’s game on local radio stations.

Presbyterian comes into this weekend having lost two out of three games against Radford last week. As a team they have posted a .251 batting average this season with notable performances from Bo Moody (.315 average) and Amman Dewberry (nine home runs). Their pitching staff has compiled an earned run average of 8.70 over more than three hundred seventy-four innings pitched.
