Cost of college went up for all students at Top of the Line Barber College

Tuition and fees rose 10.4 percent for 2018-19 at Top of the Line Barber College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

South Carolina students paid $18,475 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $1,735 more than the $16,740 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 6 students received grants or scholarships totaling $24,284 and 7 students took out student loans totaling more than $52,500.

Including all undergraduates (23), 19 students used grants or scholarships totaling $85,106, and 20 students took out $148,200 in federal student loans.
