Rep. Nancy Mace, serving in the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, made several statements on April 1, 2025, via social media platform X. These statements touched on diverse and controversial topics, ranging from historical events to contemporary political issues.

On April 1, 2025, Mace questioned the capabilities of the CIA, referencing their four-year surveillance of Lee Harvey Oswald prior to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. She expressed skepticism over the agency's failure to prevent Oswald's actions, stating, "They CIA was surveilling Lee Harvey Oswald for four years. They knew Oswald’s breakfast order but missed his assassination plot?"

Later the same day, Mace suggested an expedited approach to addressing governmental overreach, indicating, "20 seconds to fix the deep state:".

Lastly, at the end of the day, Mace referenced an article by The Atlantic, criticizing its portrayal of Maryland fathers. She described the publication's depiction as an exaggerated rebranding, quoting, "According to The Atlantic, being 'a Maryland father' now includes moonlighting as a gang leader in MS-13 and trafficking humans. Bold rebrand."

Rep. Mace, born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in 1977, resides in Charleston. Known for her education at The Citadel, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1999, she previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020.
