City of Charleston issued the following announcement on October 29.
The city of Charleston will be closed on Thursday, November 11th in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. In order to provide service to all residents in a timely manner, garbage and trash collection will take place on the modified schedule outlined below.
Peninsula, James Island and West Ashley Inside I-526: Collection will take place on a normal schedule Monday through Wednesday. Thursday’s collection will take place on Friday, November 12.
West Ashley Outside I-526 and Johns Island: Collection will take place on a normal schedule.
Cainhoy and Daniel Island: Collection will take place on a normal schedule.
