Allegiance Flag Supply is set to expand operations in Charleston County, creating 25 new jobs.
The American flag producer is set to establish a $1.2 million investment in the county, according to a release from Gov. Henry McMaster's office.
“Every stitch, every hem and every thread in our American flags are proudly made right here in Charleston, S.C.,” Allegiance Flag Supply Co-Founder Katie Lyon said in the release.
Founded in 2018, Allegiance Flag Supply makes lasting, high-quality flags using American-sourced materials and seamstresses, the release said.
Charleston County Council Chairman Teddie Pryor commended the company’s expansion, stating Allegiance Flag Supply has confidence in the community to consolidate their operations and create local manufacturing jobs for residents.
This sentiment was echoed by Secretary of Commerce Harry Lightsey III who cited Allegiance Flag Supply’s growth as a testament to South Carolina’s skilled labor force and business-friendly environment.
The company’s expansion at 4213 Scott St. in North Charleston is set to consolidate its operations to include a self-sustainable sew shop and distribution center which packages and ships products across the county, the release said.
