The North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) recently held its second "Coffee with a Cop" event at the Family Dollar on Dorchester Road, which was a resounding success. According to an unnamed spokesperson for the agency, the event provided the public with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to connect with officers.

Children were particularly excited to interact with the officers, as mentioned by the spokesperson, "We were thrilled to see children come out and greet our officers, who were more than happy to share high-fives, great food, and of course, coffee and other drinks."

The NCPD values its partnership with Family Dollar and is already planning another event. The spokesperson stated, "We are excited to announce that we will be hosting another 'Coffee with a Cop' event soon." They encouraged the public to stay updated on their social media pages for event announcements and added, "Join us for this unique opportunity to interact with law enforcement officers and learn more about their work in the community."
