Danielle Trauth-Jurman, Director of Planned Giving and Endowment Strategy at Trident United Way, reflects on her journey starting out in her career. She shares valuable advice for young professionals based on her experiences.

"Other tasks and duties as assigned," Trauth-Jurman emphasizes the importance of staying flexible in one's career. She advises, "embrace these tasks as opportunities" as they allow individuals to connect with others, learn new skills, and showcase versatility and problem-solving abilities.

Regarding networking, Trauth-Jurman stresses the significance of investing in one's network. She suggests attending networking events, engaging with professionals in desired career paths, and offering help to others. She highlights the reciprocity in networking, stating, "What goes around comes around."

In terms of career planning, Trauth-Jurman advises young professionals not to feel pressured to have their entire career mapped out from the beginning. Instead, she recommends creating a professional mission statement to guide decision-making while remaining open to evolving interests and passions.
