On September 18, 2024, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 7909, known as the Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act. The bill, which now moves to the Senate for further consideration, aims to protect women nationwide.

"Today, we took a decisive step to protect women by passing the Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act," said Representative Nancy Mace. "We are fed up with headlines about women losing their lives or becoming victims of assailants who trespassed into our country illegally under the Biden-Harris border crisis."

Speaker Johnson expressed support for the bill: "The Biden-Harris border crisis has made daily life less safe for American women. They engineered this crisis, ignored efforts to solve it, and have refused to deport those who commit heinous crimes against American citizens."

Congressman Nehls (R-TX-22) added, "Due to the absolute failures of this administration, the safety of our women and children has been compromised while illegal aliens roam free in our communities and commit heinous crimes against American citizens."

Congresswoman Boebert (R-CO-03) emphasized the urgency of addressing crimes committed by illegal aliens: "Over 10 million illegals have invaded our country since Kamala Harris was appointed Border Czar. Criminal illegal savages are sexually assaulting Americans at rates we’ve never seen before."

Congressman McClintock (R-CA-05) criticized current policies: "When these monsters commit these ghastly acts and their grief-stricken moms appear before our committee, the Democrats put on their best long faces... H.R. 7909 removes any loopholes in current law."

Congresswoman Laurel Lee (R-FL-15) called for bipartisan support: "The Biden-Harris administration's war on women must come to an end. Removing people because they've committed a sex offense or domestic violence offense should be something that even open border Democrats can agree with us on."

H.R. 7909 seeks to ensure that illegal aliens convicted of sex offenses or domestic violence are deemed inadmissible to the U.S., and mandates deportation for those convicted of such crimes.
