As part of See Tracks? Think Train Week, the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) joined South Carolina Operation Lifesaver and Amtrak in Operation Clear Track. This initiative aims to prevent train-related incidents and save lives.

Every three hours in the United States, a person or vehicle is struck by a train, often causing death or serious injury. The NCPD urges everyone to use caution and common sense when approaching a railroad crossing.

"Please be sure to use caution and common sense when approaching a railroad crossing," emphasized the NCPD.
