Amid the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, concerns have been raised regarding the allocation of funds by FEMA. Criticism has emerged over the agency's financial management during this crisis.

“It’s outrageous to see American communities reeling from Hurricane Helene’s devastation while FEMA, under the Department of Homeland Security, claims to be out of money—after diverting hundreds of millions of dollars to resettle illegal immigrants," stated a source familiar with the situation. The statement highlighted dissatisfaction with current support levels: "Some families are only getting $750."

The call for prioritizing disaster response efforts emphasizes ensuring that affected families receive adequate assistance. “We need to ensure American families have the support they need in times of crisis, and our disaster response agencies are prioritizing the immediate needs of those affected by natural disasters,” the statement continued.
