Charleston police investigate fatal pedestrian accident on Seven Farms Drive

The Charleston Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team is currently investigating a fatal incident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. The collision occurred on October 24, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Seven Farms Drive near Pier View Street.

According to the police report, the pedestrian entered the roadway in the 200 block of Seven Farms Drive and was subsequently struck by a vehicle. The injured pedestrian was transported to a hospital but later died from their injuries. The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene.

As of now, no charges have been filed against the driver, and the investigation is ongoing. The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for releasing the identity of the deceased individual. Authorities are urging anyone with information relevant to this case to reach out to the Charleston Police Department Traffic Unit at (843) 965-4084.

This tragic event marks the ninth fatal traffic-related collision investigated by Charleston Police this year as of October 25, 2024. Of these incidents, five were auto-pedestrian collisions, three involved single vehicles, and one was a multi-vehicle accident.
