The North Charleston Police Department has received a donation from Brady’s K9 Fund, which provided a ballistic vest for K9 Faro. The vest was given to Officer Jacob Bloomer's four-legged partner.

Brady’s K9 Fund aims to support police dogs by equipping them with necessary protective gear. The organization, established by an 8-year-old who believed that K9 officers should have body armor similar to their human counterparts, has raised over $1.25 million since 2018 and supplied vests to more than 950 K9s nationwide.

The fund encourages public participation in its mission, inviting people to visit their website for more information and to make donations. Contributions are used to supply life-saving equipment for police dogs across the United States.
