American families and small businesses are facing economic challenges as growth slows and government spending increases. According to Rep. Mace, the economy is not meeting expectations, with growth at 2.8% for the third quarter.

Mace highlighted that "rampant government spending has pushed our deficit over $1.8 trillion in fiscal 2024—a figure made worse by soaring inflation and cost of living." She expressed concern about the impact on American families, stating that "the federal government is mortgaging the future of every American family to cover its spending addiction."
