Representative Nancy Mace, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for South Carolina’s 1st district, has made several pointed remarks on social media concerning the actions of South Carolina's Attorney General. Known for her direct communication style, Rep. Mace has addressed issues surrounding women's protection and criticized perceived shortcomings by state officials.

On February 12, 2025, Rep. Mace stated: "Real men protect women, and South Carolina’s Attorney General isn’t one. Rather than explain how he’s going to protect women and girls, this guy is CYA all day today making excuses and telling lies. Truth brings peace. Also, putting rapists, peeping toms and sex traffickers…" Her statement highlights dissatisfaction with the current approach to protecting women in the state.

In a follow-up tweet on the same day, she expressed skepticism about the Attorney General's intentions: "This letter makes it sound like our AG wants r*pe and peeping tom victims to slide into his DMs…" This comment underscores her criticism of his communication methods regarding serious criminal issues.

Additionally, Rep. Mace tweeted a succinct message: "Iron sharpens iron." This could suggest her belief in strong leadership and accountability as necessary tools for effective governance.
