Rep. Nancy Mace, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 1st district, shared a series of tweets on February 12, 2025, addressing various issues related to her recent speech and subsequent reactions. Mace has been serving in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Joe Cunningham and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives.

In a tweet posted at 00:00:01 UTC, Rep. Mace reflected on divine intervention stating "God uses imperfect people to carry out his perfect plans."

Later, at 00:11:58 UTC, she addressed comments made by one of the individuals mentioned in her speech who expressed feelings of betrayal. She emphasized the gravity of the issues she raised by contrasting them with those feelings: "One of the predators I named in my speech last night talked to press today about how he feels 'betrayed.' He’s talking about betrayal... I’m talking about rape, peeping toms, sex trafficking, child endangerment and more. This is not the same."

At 01:10:44 UTC, Rep. Mace noted an overwhelming response from the public following her remarks. She reported that many individuals have reached out to share information and assist victims, highlighting community solidarity: "Phones have been ringing off the hook all day and right now as I type this. People are stepping out of the shadows to share information and help victims. More potential victims are coming forward also. South Carolinians always deliver for each other."
