Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congress member representing South Carolina’s 1st district, has expressed her views on government transparency and declassification through a series of tweets on February 18, 2025.
In her first tweet, Rep. Mace stated, "Bad day to be a classified government secret." She also announced her participation in the Declassification and Transparency Task Force led by Rep. Luna.
Later that day, she reiterated her stance against excessive classification in government documents with another tweet: "We’re so over over-classification in government."
Finally, Rep. Mace expressed gratitude towards fellow representatives for their efforts in promoting transparency: "Thank you @RepJamesComer and @RepLuna for assembling the Dream Team to give the American people the answers they are owed."
