TOWN OF JAMES ISLAND: Meetings for the Week of July 19, 2021

Town of James Island issued the following announcement on July 16.

The following meetings are scheduled for the week of July 19 at the James Island Town Hall:

Tuesday, July 20 @ 7:00 p.m: The  Board of Zoning Appeals will meet in person at 7:00 p.m. to hear Case #BZAV-6-21-027 a variance request for the removal of a grand tree for construction of a single-family home on a vacant lot in the low-density suburban residential district (RSL) on property located at 907 White Point Blvd. Members of the public addressing the Board in support or opposition of this case must sign in. The Board invites the public to submit comments on this case prior to the meeting via email to planning@jamesislandsc.us referencing the case #. Social distancing will be in place. This meeting will also be live streamed on the Town's YouTube Channel. 

Wednesday, July 21 @ 7:00 p.m: The James Island Intergovernmental Council will meet in person at 7:00 p.m. The James Island Intergovernmental Council is comprised of elected officials from the State, County, Town of James Island, City of Charleston, City of Folly Beach, and the James Island Public Service District promoting connectivity between these entities in addressing key issues facing James Island. Public comments may be emailed to info@jamesislandsc.us in advance of the meeting.

*James Island Neighborhood Council meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 22 is cancelled. 

Updated Face Mask Policy: Anyone wishing to wear a mask, regardless of vaccine status is welcomed to continuing doing so. Vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear a mask. Non-vaccinated individuals must continue wearing a mask inside while around others. Social distancing will be adhered. 

Town Hall is located at 1122 Dills Bluff Rd., James Island.
