Congresswoman Nancy Mace has reintroduced the Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act. This bill aims to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to prevent individuals with violent criminal histories from entering the United States. The legislation is part of a package of 12 bills selected for consideration.

“With strong leadership in the House, Senate, and White House, the days of enabling criminal illegal aliens to prey on Americans are over,” said Congresswoman Mace. She emphasized that this effort seeks to protect women and honor victims such as Laken Riley, Mollie Tibbetts, Karina Vetrano, Maddie Hines, and Debrina Kawam. According to Mace, it also addresses assaults suffered by countless women across the country.

The proposed bill states that aliens convicted of sex offenses or domestic violence—or those who admit to such crimes—will be considered inadmissible to the United States. Additionally, any alien convicted of a sex offense or conspiracy to commit such an offense will face deportation. The legislation sends a clear message that predators and criminals will not find refuge in the U.S.

Mace’s proposal builds on previous bipartisan support and passed in the House during the last Congress. With a Republican majority now in both Congress and the White House prioritizing border security, this legislation is set for expedited consideration within the House rules package.

“This is about restoring order, protecting our communities, and delivering on the promises we made to the American people,” added Mace.
