30

Mount Pleasant issued the following announcement on November 16.

Mount Pleasant, S.C. (November 16, 2021) - Owner and Master Trainer Erika Lynn McKelvey, joined by Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie and Councilman John Iacofano, along with Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Members Rebecca Imholz, Brian Sherman, and Bill Harrington, participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony today for Fly High Bungee Fitness, located at 625 Johnnie Dodds Blvd.

Fly High Bungee Fitness is a premier bungee fitness studio and brings a new innovative way to exercise to Mount Pleasant. Clients can expect to burn an average of 350 to 800 calories while flying around in a high cardio, high resistance, low impact workout. Because bungee workouts are effective at building muscle and burning fat, while being low impact, it is one of the fastest-growing workout styles in the world.

Erika grew up as a competitive gymnast. Years and a few injuries later, she struggled to find a workout that she could enjoy. While watching the bungee fitness trend grow in Europe, she tried it out for herself and instantly realized that this workout was perfect for her and felt that bungee workouts could help many more people other than herself. From this, Fly High Bungee Fitness was born.

Flight Instructors are ready to guide any client at any level of expertise through a variety of classes. There are a few restrictions based on safety and frequently asked questions are answered in their FAQ.
