Officer Jason Marzan was honored this week by the South Carolina Fraternal Order of Police for his life-saving actions in October 2023.

Marzan was recognized for saving a two-year-old girl who fell from a moving car and severed her arm. Medical professionals were able to reattach the child's arm following Marzan's intervention.

“Our agency is so proud of Officer Marzan’s quick actions to save the child,” said Deputy Chief Angela Johnson. “Officer Marzan’s heroics that day were a perfect example of our motto, ‘To Serve and to Protect.’”
