Charleston police seek public's help identifying fraud suspect

The Charleston Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying an individual involved in a series of fraudulent activities at multiple Best Buy locations in the Charleston area.

On July 23, 2024, at around 8:00 p.m., the subject pictured used the victim’s identity to fraudulently purchase multiple items at the Best Buy located at 1987 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard. The suspect then returned the items at a different location.

Anyone with information related to this incident may contact the Charleston Police Department at 843-720-2422 and request to speak with the on-duty Central Detective or via email at speaktocpd@charleston-sc.gov
