The North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) has recognized Officer Samuel Sanders for his efforts in apprehending a bank robbery suspect. On October 11, while on patrol, Officer Sanders noticed a vehicle matching the description of one linked to a robbery that occurred earlier that day. The vehicle was found in the Pepperhill community and had defective equipment.

Officer Sanders conducted a traffic stop and alerted detectives to the scene. The subsequent investigation led to the identification and charging of the suspect involved in the robbery.

"Thanks to Officer Sanders’ proactive patrol and keen observation skills, an arrest was made just a few hours after the robbery," stated NCPD.

Officer Sanders was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for his actions during October 2024.
