City offices in Charleston will be closed on Monday, January 20th, 2025, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This closure affects various city services and facilities.

Public service schedules will see adjustments for the week starting January 20th. City crews will operate on a one-day delay: Monday routes will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday routes on Wednesday, Wednesday routes on Thursday, and Thursday routes on Friday.

For Trident Waste services covering Johns Island and outer West Ashley areas, operations will continue as per the normal schedule during this week. Similarly, Capital Waste services for Daniel Island and Cainhoy will also follow their regular schedule.

Recreational facilities are affected differently. The Municipal Golf Course will remain open with normal operating hours on January 20th. However, all other city recreation facilities will be closed for the day.

The announcement also confirms that "all City Offices will be closed Monday, January 20th."
