U.S. Congresswoman Nancy Mace, representing South Carolina's 1st District, took to social media on April 3, 2025, to express her deep concern about the death of a South Carolina student, attributing it to actions of an illegal immigrant. Mace's series of tweets outlined her stance on immigration and crime.
In a post made on the evening of April 3, Mace stated, "A South Carolina student was killed yesterday because of an illegal alien who had no right to be here. We’re going to fight like hell to get every last illegal alien out of South Carolina. We’re praying for the victim, his family, and the students at USC who have been touched."
Later that day, Mace tweeted again, highlighting the personal impact of the tragedy, "Nathanial G. Baker’s blood are on the hands of an illegal alien who never should’ve been here. Nathanial was ours—a 21-year-old Gamecock with a future, ripped away at USC’s doorstep. This is South Carolina, our home, and we’re done letting lawless invaders ruin it."
In her third tweet, Mace conveyed a resolute message, "Another life stolen by an illegal alien who shouldn’t have been here. South Carolina’s kids are our everything—I’ll be damned if I let another parent bury their child because of an illegal alien."
