Rep. Mace’s Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act has passed through markup in the House Judiciary Committee, advancing closer to becoming law. This bill gains traction due to Mace’s ongoing efforts to protect American women and girls amidst the current border situation.
"Our legislation isn't just about protecting women like Laken Riley and countless others who have been brutalized by these lawless predators," Rep. Mace said. "It's about addressing the border crisis and exposing this administration and the left's callous disregard for the safety and well-being of American women and girls."
“If the Biden administration won’t step up to protect women in our communities from violent illegal foreign nationals, Congress will,” said Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA-10). “No longer will we sit idly by while women and girls are endangered by President Biden’s reprehensible open border policies.”
The bill stipulates that aliens convicted of sex offenses or domestic violence, or those who admit to committing such acts, will be deemed inadmissible into the United States. Additionally, those convicted of a sex offense or conspiracy to commit such an offense will face deportation.
"This legislation marks a critical step in ensuring the safety and security of women across the nation, especially in light of the current border crisis," stated Rep. Mace.
