As Tropical Storm Debby impacts the region, numerous regional and national organizations are available to provide support in the wake of disasters.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation launched the National Disaster Help Desk in 2007, designed to enhance community economic recovery after a disaster. The Help Desk connects businesses and nonprofits with resources at a time when many do not know where to turn.

In addition to these resources, local organizations like Trident United Way and their 211 help assistance and the Lowcountry Chapter of the Red Cross are available to support the Lowcountry in times of need.
For those who are located in the City of Charleston, the Citizens Services Desk will be operating 24 hours a day as the city-wide curfew continues until 7:00 a.m., Wednesday.
