Officer Nicholas Gonzales and Officer Jenna Helberg have been recognized for their commendable actions in saving a life. The officers were awarded the Lifesaving and Employee of the Month awards for June.

On June 17, Officers Gonzales and Helberg responded to a report of a person hanging over the edge of the parking garage at the North Charleston Coliseum. Upon arrival, they found an individual on the ledge of the garage roof. Recognizing him from an earlier incident, they built a rapport with him. Through calm communication, they successfully persuaded him to return safely over the ledge.

"Great job!" stated their agency in acknowledgment of their efforts.
