Washington, D.C., August 12, 2024 – Congresswoman Nancy Mace was honored as a 2024 "Hero of Main Street" by the National Retail Federation (NRF) for her commitment to policies supporting a thriving retail sector.

“Over-regulation and excessive red tape kill small businesses. Our state's retail industry alone contributes $69.2B to the United States GDP,” said Rep. Nancy Mace. “With inflation hitting the economy and wages not keeping up with the rising cost of living, now more than ever, it’s time to support policies to help job creators. We will continue championing policies to support our small businesses across the Lowcountry.”

The NRF established the "Hero of Main Street" award in 2013 to acknowledge lawmakers from both parties who champion the retail industry's policy priorities. Recipients are selected based on their voting record, bill sponsorship, and advocacy efforts.
