Tuesday marked a significant milestone for Charleston County as students began their first day of the new school year. The morning was characterized by a sense of community and support, with students being greeted by officers from the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) and Mayor Burgess. Their presence underscored the importance of education and aimed to inspire and encourage the young minds entering the school.

The sight of these community leaders early in the morning created an atmosphere of warmth and safety, sending a clear message to the children that they are supported by their community. This display set a positive tone for a year focused on growth, learning, and unity within the community.

With such strong support at the outset, there is optimism that this school year will be one of achievement and progress for all involved.
