Mace, who succeeded Joe Cunningham in Congress and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020, has been vocal about her stance on women's rights and other topics.

On November 19, 2024, Rep. Nancy Mace expressed her frustration over an ongoing debate by stating "I can't believe we even have to debate this."

Later that day, she reiterated her determination with a brief statement: "We won't back down."

In another tweet posted shortly after, Rep. Mace addressed threats against women advocating for their rights: "Women shouldn't be threatened for standing up for women’s rights!"
