Vivek Ramaswamy's recent remarks on outdated legacy IT systems have found support from Rep. Nancy Mace. In a statement, she highlighted the urgent need for updates, emphasizing that "our legacy IT systems are outdated and in desperate need of updating." According to Mace, these systems, some dating back to the 1960s, are costly to maintain and expose vulnerabilities to cyber threats.

Rep. Mace pointed out that such antiquated technology impedes efficiency across various sectors. To address these concerns, her office introduced and successfully passed the Modernizing Government Technology Reform Act. She stressed that modernization is essential "if we want to stop waste, cut fraud, and make government programs actually work for the people."
