Suspects identified and arrested in West Ashley armed robbery

The Charleston Police Department has charged two suspects in connection to an armed robbery that occurred at a West Ashley gas station in early June.

On June 3, 2024, CPD responded to a report of a robbery at the Circle K convenience store located in the 2500 block of Ashley River Road. During the robbery, a handgun was brandished, and money was stolen.

Following the investigation, Tamia Ashley Kearse (24, of Summerville) is charged with armed robbery, and Keyon White (27, of North Charleston) is charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Both suspects were arrested on June 28, 2024, and are currently in custody at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
