North Charleston announces Independence Day celebration details

North Charleston’s Independence Day event is set to return, featuring the Lowcountry’s largest 4th of July fireworks show on Thursday, July 4, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Riverfront Park. The event will include a fireworks display starting at 9:00 PM and music by DJ Natty Heavy, The Secrets, and The Chairmen of the Board.

The show is free to the public with general admission for all attendees. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets as seating will not be provided. Bringing water and snacks is also recommended.

Parking is available for free, with entry through the former Navy Base via Virginia Avenue. Walking, biking, carpooling, and ridesharing are encouraged.

Important information includes:

- No entry into the park until 5:00 PM

- All bags will be searched

- No grills allowed in the park during the festival

- No sparklers or outside fireworks allowed
