Rep. Nancy Mace has raised concerns over the functionality of surveillance cameras at the southern border, calling for immediate action to address the issue. According to Mace, a significant portion of these cameras are not operational, which she believes undermines border security efforts.

"The federal government has blown $409 billion on immigration enforcement, yet one-third of the cameras at our southern border don’t even work," said Rep. Mace. She emphasized the need for effective oversight and reduction of waste within government agencies tasked with managing border security.

Mace's statement highlights ongoing debates about resource allocation and technological investments in national security infrastructure. Her remarks suggest a push for more accountability in how funds are utilized in securing borders.

"We need to get serious about oversight, cut the waste across our alphabet agencies, and ensure we’re investing in tech designed to keep Americans safe," she added.
