Charleston police seek help identifying suspect in West Ashley robbery

The Charleston Police Department is seeking public assistance to identify a suspect involved in an incident at a Food Lion store. On December 18, 2024, around 7:40 p.m., an unknown female attempted to steal items from the Food Lion located at 2144 Savannah Highway. During the incident, when confronted by a store employee, the suspect allegedly pushed and punched the employee.

Detectives have released images of the individual they believe committed this strong-arm robbery. The police are urging anyone with information about this case to contact them. Tips can be provided by calling the Charleston Police Department at 843-720-2422 and asking for the on-duty Central Detective or by sending an email through their tip line at https://charlestonpd.fususvault.com/tips.
